Controversial Nollywood actor and activist Yomi Fabiyi has extended an olive branch to his long-time industry rival, Iyabo Ojo, revealing he is open to reconciliation even as the two remain engaged in legal disputes stemming from the highly publicized Baba Ijesha case.
Fabiyi made the surprising announcement during a recent question-and-answer session on Papariano’s popular TikTok platform, where he was discussing his controversial stance on the aforementioned case. He acknowledged that the bitterness between them runs deep, but stated his willingness to bury the hatchet if Ojo initiates the move. Fabiyi’s unexpected desire for peace is a sharp turn for an actor who has been one of Ojo's most vocal critics in recent years.
Fabiyi’s reasoning for his unexpected magnanimity was rooted in a gesture of kindness from the past, noting that he remains grateful to Iyabo Ojo for her support during a difficult personal time. He specifically recalled that Ojo provided him with a financial contribution of N50,000 towards his mother's burial, a humane act he clearly hasn't forgotten despite the subsequent acrimony.
