Just In: "Your Money Is Not Up To N20 Million Naira" Mohbad's Father Fires Back

Joseph Aloba, the father of the late Nigerian singer Mohbad (Ilerioluwa Aloba), has ignited a fierce new controversy by vehemently denying that N200 million was contributed to his personal account following his son's tragic death.

Speaking during a call-in segment on the popular Berekete Family Radio program, Aloba was directly confronted by a concerned caller who pleaded with the show's host, Isa Ahmad (a.k.a. Ordinary President), to demand transparency and accountability from the bereaved father regarding the substantial public donations.

In a move that shocked listeners, Aloba claimed that the total sum deposited into his designated Access Bank account was, in fact, "not up to 20 million Naira," sharply contradicting the widely circulated figures of hundreds of millions allegedly raised in Mohbad's name

The unexpected denial immediately placed the issue of the donation's transparency back into the spotlight, leading to a tense exchange on air. The host, the Ordinary President, recognizing the necessity of public trust and accountability given the emotional nature of the contributions, urged Joseph Aloba to take a decisive action to clarify the matter.

The Ordinary President’s request was simple and direct: Aloba must print out a full statement of his bank account covering the period of the contributions and agree to make the document public. This demand aims to end the swirling speculation and settle the financial figures definitively, as the large discrepancy between the reported N200 million and Aloba's N20 million claim has created significant public distrust and confusion among those who donated.

This latest development threatens to overshadow the ongoing quest for justice in Mohbad's death, shifting the public conversation from the investigation to a bitter dispute over money. While Aloba insists he has been falsely accused of receiving a fortune, his refusal to instantly provide proof has only amplified the calls for scrutiny.

The pressure is now squarely on the father to produce the bank statement and transparently address the whereabouts of the substantial funds intended to support the pursuit of justice and care for Mohbad's young son. Failure to comply with the Ordinary President's request for public disclosure is likely to further damage his credibility and intensify the scrutiny from the Nigerian public and the late singer's grieving fan base.
