Nollywood actor Yomi Fash-Lanso has revealed a remarkable childhood experience involving his father and a pastor who once demanded that he sow his newly purchased car as a “seed.”
According to Fash-Lanso, the incident happened during a prophetic service at their church. His father had just bought a new car and drove the family to worship that Sunday. During the service, the pastor singled him out, declaring that God was ready to bless him. Excited, his mother shouted “Amen!” while his father received prayers with joy.
But then, the pastor asked a startling question:
“Mr. Alamu, did you buy a new car last week?”
When his father confirmed, the pastor continued:
“God said I should tell you to sow your car key into my life.”
Fash-Lanso recalled being shocked when his father calmly reached into his pocket, pulled out the car key, and handed it over without argument. Moments later, however, his father quietly left the church. To the young Yomi’s surprise, he returned later driving the same car — using the spare key.
When asked why he did that, his father gave him a lesson he never forgot:
“Oluwayomi, always use your brain. The pastor asked for the key, not the car.”
The actor shared the story while lamenting how some so‑called men of God exploit their members under the guise of prophecy. He expressed gratitude to his father for instilling wisdom and discernment in him from a young age.
Fash-Lanso concluded by asking his fans:
