Residents of Keffi in Nasarawa State were thrown into panic on Thursday after a suspected child k!ll!ng and a violent mob action occurred in the Tsohon Kasuwa area of the town.
Eyewitnesses said a suspect identified as Samaila Zaria allegedly k!ll£d a young boy in a horrifying incident that shocked the community. It was further alleged that the suspect removed the child’s £y£b@lls, a development that triggered anger among residents.
Following the incident, an irate mob reportedly caught the suspect and, before security operatives could intervene, s£t him @bl@z£. He was bµrnt on the spot.
The development left the community in mourning, with many residents describing the incident as b@rb@r!c and deeply h£@rtbr£@k!ng. Calls have also been made for improved security and swift justice to prevent similar incidents.
As of the time of filing this report, authorities had yet to release an official statement.
However, investigations were said to be ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding both the alleged k!ll!ng and the mob action.
Community leaders have advised residents to remain calm and law-abiding, warning against jungle justice and urging the public to allow the law take its course.
