"Please Don’t Take His Love From My Children"; Nigerian Wife Begs Husband’s Alleged Side

A heartbreaking story has surfaced online after a distraught Nigerian woman took to Facebook to publicly appeal to her husband’s alleged lover, pleading for mercy on behalf of her three children.

The woman, whose identity remains undisclosed, shared her ordeal in a lengthy post that has since gone viral on social media. 

In the post, she revealed that her husband, whom she has been married to for seven years, allegedly abandoned his responsibilities towards the family after beginning an affair with a woman identified as Benita.

In her emotional plea, the wife wrote:

“This is my husband & his side chick. I'm currently going through d£pression cuz of these two. Look, Benita, I understand that you & my husband have been seeing each other for over 2 years now. I've consistently tried & done everything possible within my power to make you leave my husband, but I've failed.”

According to her, despite her efforts, Benita reportedly sent her thr£atening messages, claiming she could do nothing to stop the affair.

The wife continued:

“My dear Benita, I'm tired of fi-y-tin you for my man; I'm so tired that I now give up. But please, I'm kneeling & begging you Benita, pls do anything that you want with my husband. But please, do not take his love & responsibilities away from his kids.”

She explained that before her marriage, she worked as a nurse but quit her job at her husband’s insistence, as he promised to provide her with a monthly allowance equivalent to her salary.

“I quitted my job just to make him happy, despite that I was the sole breadwinner of my family after my parents had struggled to see me through school. For the past 7 years of marriage, he's been the one taking care of the bills, including my monthly allowance as promised. But it's been over 2 years now that he stopped doing anything for us.”

The woman disclosed that she has been solely responsible for paying the family’s house rent, feeding, and children’s school fees. She claimed her husband sometimes stayed away for months without visiting or even checking on the children.

Her financial struggles, she said, have pushed her into heavy debt.

“I'm in so much debt as we speak & have virtually become a street beggar just so my children can at least eat. I would have left this marriage long ago, but I can't cuz of my children. I'm still here cuz of my kids.”

She further lamented that she is battling high blood pressure and d£pression due to the situation, while her wealthy husband allegedly lavishes attention elsewhere.

In a final plea to her husband’s alleged lover, the wife wrote:

“Benita, I know that I can't match up to your beauty, but please, you are a woman like me; have mercy on me and my kids. I'm begging you Benita, please have mercy on this poor woman.”

Her post has sparked emotional reactions across Facebook, where many users sympathized with her plight while others questioned her decision to remain in the marriage despite the abuse and neglect.
