The Tik Toker known for notorious online attacks since 2024, is remanded in Ikoyi Prison after failing bail conditions, with revelations of accomplices adding twists to the case.
The Lagos Magistrate Court Igbosere was thrown into the spotlight today as self-acclaimed TikTok blogger, Yusuf Azeez Olamileka, popularly known as Bintilaye, was arraigned before Justice K.K. Awoyinka on multiple charges including cyberbullying, cyberstalking, and publishing defamatory content against philanthropist Mr. Idowu Adebanwo, also known as Lagata.
Bintilaye, who has built a notorious reputation on TikTok for provocative videos, pleaded not guilty to the charges. However, after failing to meet his bail conditions, Justice Awoyinka ordered that he be remanded in Ikoyi Prison.
Background of the Case
Court documents revealed that Bintilaye had repeatedly defamed Mr. Adebanwo since 2024 through his TikTok account. He had also faced similar charges brought against him by Oba Elegushi, further cementing his notoriety as a repeat offender in online defamation cases.
Police investigations showed that despite being invited for questioning, Bintilaye had jumped bail twice, forcing authorities to formally charge him after he eventually turned himself in. His lawyer begged for leniency, arguing that charging him to court immediately would reflect poorly on his preparation, but the police and later the court dismissed the plea.

In a dramatic twist, Bintilaye reportedly confessed to the crimes and named several accomplices with names like Haduke Okin, Lenchi and DDdrew were actively involved in sending him information and spreading defamatory content online. Justice Awoyinka stressed the seriousness of cybercrime, emphasizing that individuals must be protected from malicious online harassment. He adjourned the case to June 15, 2026, when full trial proceedings will begin. The remand of Bintilaye has ignited heated debate across TikTok and other social media platforms.
